What better on a warm summer day than a glass of Pinot Grigio? This ever popular fresh, floral and clean wine is delicate and refreshing and does the job perfectly.
The Pinot Grigio mixed case costs £73 and includes three bottles each of the follopwing four wines.
Pinot Grigio La Delfina 2007: Clean, crisp and fresh, with scented fruit and hints of pears. Very refreshing as an aperitif.
Pinot Grigio Nagyrede Estate 2007: This massively popular wine comes from the Matra Foothills in the Northern Massif of Hungary and is fuller in body than many Italian Pinot Grigios while still retaining delicious textbook flavours of apricot, pear and almond. Great on its own or with lighter dishes and salads.
Pinot Grigio Cantina di Custoza 2007: Another fuller style Pinot Grigio, with ripe flavours of apples and pears intermingled with beeswax. Try it with fish or lighter white meats.
Pinot Grigio La Delfina Rose 2007: By the end of the summer, Pinot Grigio grapes begin to turn a copper colour which enables winemakers to produce a rosé. This excellent example has subtle flavours of cherries and is superb with charcuterie.
