With May Day behind us and the haunting sound of the medieval Eucharist hymn having echoed from the tower of Magdalen College to usher in the spring, the time is right for a seasonal celebration.

We have put together a mixed case of wines that are perfect for springtime drinking - crisp, clean, fresh whites and bright fruit-filled reds to help you celebrate the new season.

The Wines for Spring mixed case costs £63 and includes three bottles each of the following four wines L'Attitude Sauvignon Blanc/Colombard 2007, France: From the Côtes de Gascogne, this lovely floral, bright and super fresh white has superbly lifted aromatic fruit. Great on its own or with fish.

La Delfina Pinot Grigio 2007, Italy: Always popular for its clean fresh feel, this Pinot Grigio is very crisp with spring flavours of apples and pears. Lovely wine.

Beaujolais l'Or des Pierres 2006, France: A very clean and fruit-filled Beaujolais from an excellent producer. This wine is bursting with ripe raspberry fruit. Drink on its own or with light meats.

Hutton Ridge Shiraz/Cinsault 2005, South Africa: A pleasingly elegant mix of grapes from South Africa that captures the sun and offers warm ripe fruit aplenty. Perfect for early barbeques, roasted vegetables or grilled meats.
