Oxfordshire's men finished in fourth place in Group 7 after losing 7-2 to Avon in their final match yesterday.
Avon proved the strongest team in the group and won every match.
Despite the defeat, captain Jonathan Maskens was happy with his team's performances over the week.
He said: "To finish fourth means we achieved our goal of getting into the top half of the group.
"We came up against some very strong teams.
"Unfortunately, we weren't at full strength, but I'm satisfied with the way we stuck at it all week."
Avon 7, Oxfordshire 2: J Maskens & J Cartledge won 6-1, 6-2, won 3-6, 6-2, 6-4, lost 6-4, 6-4; C Peterson & J Sexton lost 6-2, 6-2, lost 7-6, 6-1, lost 4-6, 7-6, 7-6; J Rooney & O Neighbour lost 6-1, 6-1, lost 6-1, 6-2, lost 6-4, 7-5.

Next week is The Oxford Times Wine Club Christmas Tasting and, with just four weeks to go until Christmas Day, it is an excellent opportunity to sample a specially-selected range of wines for the festive season.
One of the pictures on this page gives a good impression of the delights to be enjoyed at the Mole and Chicken on one of those sunny days that now seem as far as can be from our present situation.
I had trouble shifting my +1 for the musical Imagine This, which opened last week at the New London Theatre. No-one was interested (one German friend would have come, but funnily enough I hadn’t thought to ask him), and while nobody actually said, “Sounds like a gas”, there were plenty of unprintable responses, averaging out at: “Holocaust – the musical? Um, no thanks . . . ”
Another winter rolls in and, to cheer our spirits, Oxfordshire Touring Theatre Company travel hither and yon through the county with colour, music and fun trailing in their wake. For those of us who live in villages these harbingers of the festive season are a welcome sight.
