Oxfordshire coach John Brodley felt his side had not succeeded in their game plan at Chinnor.

He said: "What we failed to do was to put some phases together and release our speedy backs.

"They managed to turn the ball over a lot, which was disappointing.

"It was a very stop-start game that we didn't really seem to dominate or get into.

"Although in the second period we were playing just inside their half, we couldn't get enough pressure until Seymour took his try really well.

"I still felt we had the capabilities to win the game. We struggled in the scrummaging against two big props.

"It was a hot day for both teams, but you only feel it when you are losing.

"Next week, we'll check on our injuries, see who's available, and go out to do our best."
