GOLF: Tadmarton pip Frilford

Tadmarton Heath are now the only unbeaten team in Section 1 of the Shaw Gibbs Oxfordshire Foursomes League after defeating Frilford Heath 2-1.

It was close in all three matches, but Owen King and Mark Hughes and Spencer Hallam and Andrew Mason secured the vital victories.

Burford went top after winning 2-1 at west Oxon neighbours Chipping Norton, who have lost all three of their games this season.

Ian Liddle and Simon Hopkins came from behind to pip Chippy's Matt Johnson and Stuart Allen on the 18th hole.

The Oxfordshire eased past Studley Wood 2.5-0.5 with Studley picking up their first half point of the campaign.

Studley Wood 0.5 (0.5), The Oxfordshire 2.5 (3.5) (Studley Wood): S Jenkins & N Adbey lost to J Archer & B Cotton 6 & 5, A Siggers & S Bulman lost to D Knight & G Rogerson 3 & 2, N Mortimore & N Petit halved with A Stubbs & C Hinton.
