RISING star Carly Johns has committed her future to Oxford United Women.
The U’s young player of the year for 2019/20 will remain with Liam Gilbert’s side following a successful first season in senior football.
Johns became the club’s youngest hat-trick scorer with her treble against North Leigh last October and she cannot wait to build on her promising start in the coming campaign.
“I thought I developed so much,” she said.
“I thought it went really well, I bonded with the girls and I learnt a lot to take away from it and move onto next season with.”
Cat Beaver will also be part of United’s FA Women’s National League Southern Premier challenge after re-signing.
She said: “I think there is a bit of unfinished business from last season.
“We really picked things up towards the end of the season, and if we started like that we maybe could have gone up.”
It continues an encouraging summer for the U’s, who this week signed England Under 19 goalkeeper Rose Kite.
