Perhaps the silly PC moo in charge of the school would like to introduce sharia law and have compulsory prayer times for all during the school day for all pupils to be 'inclusive' with regard to islam! We are NOT a multicultural society. We are a white anglo-saxon society which allows people of other cultures etc, to settle here if they choose to do so( with criteria followed-usually). I find it odd that those from 'other cultures' in their own countries are NOT so welcoming to incomers with their own cultures and belief systems. I believe it is still the law that all state schools (apart from church controlled or voluntary managed schools) are required to hold a daily non-denominational worship. However I think this is seldom practiced in today's schools as it was 50 years ago.

Well Well arn't we angry angry ? don't forget the colonial past of this country and how non "white anglo saxon socities" were exploited and there resources exploited and indigenious people abused to bring riches Great Britain. Lets not talk about the slave trade, or Australian aborigies or New Zealand maoris or North Ameraican indians. Mabs- some white middle class apologist hand wringers may feel that post- colonial guilt is reason enough to allow British culture to be completely undermined, or- as some would have us believe- removed without trace as if it never existed amongst lies such as 'England has always ben a nation of immigrants' (that so? I'm not angry btw, i'm smiling at your squirming, and just to rub in, I'm non white British and my kids are non white and British and born here and we love it here, we work hard pay tax at 40% band and claim no benefits.
My parents lived in Tanzania as did many ethnic south Asians, (originally shipped over for slavery in Africa, but you know all about History so I won't lecture you.
AND the British government advertised on the radio for people to come over and live in England and work in your factories and help you prosper, AND being a British colony we did not even need a VISA !
Love it ! So we came and we contributed and settled down and just cause we want to preserve our own culture you can't hack it.

Mrs Mortimer had told parents the school introduced halal meat as part of its inclusion policy.

She said because halal meat was not forbidden by any religion or culture it would allow every pupil to choose a meat dish for lunch.

Well Mrs Mortimer is a bit naive then, because although I eat meat, I only eat meat that has been raised in humane conditions, and killed in a humane way, so under no circumstances would I eat Halal meat, as the method of killing it is babaric and cruel.

Just because I'm not religious, doesn't mean I don't have morals and rights too!!

The truth is many of you don't live within the law, DO impose on our children and make huge demands on our communities and you could not be more wrong when you say that the majority of British people are happy with it. If you truly believe that then you are truly deluded. The real truth is the pc police ( usually the dumber members of white society) are keeping the others from speaking out for fear of being called racist. If all the people could speak out anonymously without fear of retribution I believe you would hear very differently from what you think you know.

Stop living in the past, we are in the year 2008, just because our rulers may have commited atrocities round the world hundreds of years ago does not mean people who were not even alive then have to pay for it. Personally I have never had a slave or invaded another country, if you want to carry the guilt for people you never knew or had any influence over, be my guest, but do not expect others to share in your self pity.

Britain is for the British, any visitors who do not like it are free to leave, the do gooders and PC brigades can go with them aswell.

The school should stop being so precious and stop pandering to fads and nutty religions and provide one set meal comprising meat, two veg, and a tasty pudding and any child who won't eat it gets nothing or brings their own. And if the grub can be sourced from within 20 miles of the school - bonus points!

And I do agree that halal and kosher butchery should be illegal. We should also stamp out honour killings, female circumcision, forced marriage, knife crime, gun crime, steamng and all the other joys of immigration. Any immigrant who doesn't like it knows where the door is!

immigrants shouldn't break laws. nobody should break laws.
but that doesn't mean all immigrants break laws, or that we should all be lumped together with criminals, a social burden and a threat. knifings, shootings, drink-related violence can come from native britons, too.
our customs and foods, as long as they are law-abiding, should not be seen as fads or made fun of.
btw, i am not muslim. i am a chinese. i once read someone say in a newspaper that all immigrants have broken the law at some point, and that hurt me. nobody in my family has ever broken the law. we've never imposed our ways on anyone (except for chinese take-out!) we have learned english (ok, maybe easier for us younger ones). please do not write about all of us as if we are unwanted guests.
