ABOUT £20,000 worth of stock and cash was stolen in an overnight raid on Woolworths in Bicester.

At about 3am yesterday thieves broke into the store in Sheep Street, Bicester and took several tills- each containing an undisclosed amount of cash, along with games consoles and perfumes.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

PC Rebecca Spaargaren, of Bicester police, said: "It is not yet known how much money was stolen, but it is thought to be a small amount.

"If anyone saw anything or has any information, please contact us."

The store, which remained closed all day, was due to re-open today.
