Green pioneer Ben Mayo has completed a journey across Europe in a car powered by chip fat.
Mr Mayo, 24, who works for alternative fuels company Regenatec, based at Milton Park, near Didcot, took part in the Grease to Greece challenge, which involved vehicles completing a trip from London to Athens without using fossil fuel.
Now Mr Mayo and co-driver brother Tom, 21, are making the return journey having covered every mile on used vegetable oil.
And one man waiting anxiously for their safe return is boss Jolyon Tidmarsh as the duo borrowed his Audi 80 car for the trip.
He said: "They never got round to buying another vehicle, so we swapped cars and I'm hoping to get mine back in one piece."
