A34 crash leads to delays

THE northbound carriageway of the A34 was shut for 20 minutes this evening after a van towing a trailer overturned.
The carriageway was shut at 4.25pm between the A4285 and the A4130 near West Ilsley to allow the wreckage to be recovered.
A spokesman for the Highways Agency said the road reopened at 4.45pm but said there were still delays of about 30 minutes in the area at 6pm.
