Jazz lovers gathered for a weekend of music by some of the country's finest musicians.

Crowds were not put off by the wet start to the Bicester Jazz Festival on Saturday and even more people turned up at Bicester Village, in Pingle Drive, to hear the rhythm and blues on Sunday. The Graham Hughes Trio are pictured.

The annual festival is organised by both Bicester Town Council and Bicester Village.

Organiser Miranda Markham said: "We have everything from traditional jazz players with big French horns to really bluesy stuff with amazing saxophonists playing. It was quite a mixture but it went down really well.

"Sunday was much more like jazz weather and everyone really went for it. It has been a great success.

"We were nervous about the weather but it has not made any difference, it really has been great."

Some of the highlights of the jazz line-up were Bella Tromba - an innovative classical ensemble - artist Brendan Power, who has played with Sting and Van Morrison in the past, and Veleka Algar, who combines vocals and saxophone.
