Hundreds of Jericho homes hit by power cut

Hundreds of homes in Oxford are without power today.
Southern Electric is trying to restore power to about 500 homes in the Jericho area.
Residents suffered a blackout at around 8.30am caused by workmen damaging an underground cable.
A spokesman for Southern Electric said engineers were on the scene to repair the cable but power was not expected to be back on until this evening.
