Police have appealed for witnesses after arsonists struck twice in the same area of Banbury.

A car and shed were set alight in the Woodfield area of the Ruscote Estate between 12.30am and just before 1am on Friday.

Officers carried out door-to-door inquiries but have so far drawn a blank.

The car was parked in a communal parking area behind houses.

PC Kevin Yeoman, Ruscote neighbourhood officer, said: “If anyone saw any suspicious activity at that time, no matter how small or irrelevant they think it may be, they should contact police. The information may help us catch the offender.”

Anyone with information should call 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
