Police renew plea on A44 death crash

Police were this morning continuing to appeal for information on a crash which left one man dead and two others in hospital.

A 21-year-old man was killed when a white Peugeot 306 he was travelling in and a silver Vauxhall Astra collided on the A44 north of Woodstock at the junction with the B4027 to Glympton, at 10.55pm on Saturday.

Two others, a 23-year-old man a 17-year-old boy, suffered serous injuries and were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

A man and a woman in the silver Astra, both aged 26 and from Worcester, were not injured.

The road was closed for five hours while police launched an investigation.
