Conmen are believed to be behind two distraction burglaries.

At around 10pm yesterday, a young boy went to a house in Keble Road, Bicester and asked if he could get his ball from the back garden.

The resident, an elderly man, went with him to get his ball and came back to find three black men in the house.

The man said he was going to call the police and the three men left.

It is not thought anything was taken.

Earlier in the day at 3.30pm, two men went to a house in Woodgreen Avenue, in Banbury, and claimed to be from the water board.

They left the house, stealing around £250 from a box in the kitchen.

Anyone with information should contact police on 08458 505505 or speak to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
