Woman dies after being hit by lorry

A woman injured in a collision with a delivery lorry outside a supermarket in Oxford has died.

The 82-year-old woman, who has not been named, was walking along Stile Road, in Headington, outside the Co-operative supermarket when she was in a collision with a Dairy Crest lorry last Friday morning.

She was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with two broken legs and her condition was described as serious.

She died at hospital last night and police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward PC Charlie Etheridge said: “There may be people that could have witnessed the incident, or seen the lorry or woman before the collision and I urge anyone with any information to contact me.”
