Traffic came to a halt on the southbound carriageway of the M40 today following a crash near Bicester.
The accident involving a car and a lorry happened at 8.40am, near junction nine at Wendlebury.
Stuart Thompson, a spokesman for the Highways Agency, described the accident as a “minor incident” and said no-one was seriously hurt.
He added that the vehicles involved in the collision were now on the hard shoulder and traffic was flowing freely.
