A spokesperson from Crowfest said the team was unable to proceed due to lower numbers of ticket sales than normal.

"We understand that this news may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

"This decision was not made lightly, but we must prioritise the financial viability of the festival and ensure the best possible experience for our attendees."

Full refunds will be issued for those who have already purchased tickets for the 2024 event.

"The refund process will begin automatically, and you can expect to see the funds returned to your original payment method in due course," a spokesperson said.

"We understand that you may have additional questions or concerns regarding the cancellation.

"Please feel free to reach out to our management team at info@wandcfc.co.uk for further assistance."

The festival had previously announced the line-up featuring music performances and a magician.

All sponsors, vendors, artists, stallholders have been contacted this week.
