A Second World War veteran who lives near Abingdon has celebrated his 101st birthday.
Sydney Jesse Clark, who goes by Nobby, enjoyed a week of birthday celebrations and two separate lunches with friends,
Mr Clark had a family gathering at the Dog House, Frilford Heath, with his daughter Ann Webber and grandchildren Mark and Sharon.
He also rode his tricycle to his local pub, the Bystander, in Wootton near Abingdon to meet with his friends.
Mr Clark, a retiree from Lucy Company on Walton Well Road in Oxford, was invited to attend The 2024 Lucy Electric Technology Day.
The event was held on March 26 at the Silverstone Conference and Exhibition Centre, offering a glimpse into "innovative energy technology for future generations".
He is the company's 'Gold Watch' oldest retiree, having served the company for more than 30 years.
Mr Clark met Richard Dick, chairman of Lucy Group, and John Griffith, CEO of Lucy Electric.
Born in Tackley in 1923, Mr Clark then moved with his family to Killingworth Castle Public House in Woodstock.
He worked at Lucy’s Ironworks in Jericho and joined the Navy in the Second World War. He returned to the ironworks afterwards where he met his wife Barbara.
Mr Clark lived in Jericho for more than 60 years. In 2012, he moved to Wooton to be closer to his daughter and grandchildren.
