Fresh off their television success, a children's group has announced they will take their tour to Oxford's New Theatre later this spring.

Andy and the Odd Socks' "Are You Ready to Rock" show will be coming to the city on April 14.

The children's group has entertained live audiences since their inaugural gig at Glastonbury in 2017.

As they embark on a 14-date UK tour, fans are encouraged to wear odd socks to join in the festivities.

Andy Day, a children's TV star from CBBC's "Andy and the Band", alongside bandmates Moxy, Rio, Blu and Cousin Mac, have won audiences over with their performances.

Mr Day said: "From pop socks to rock socks, Andy and the Odd Socks is about sock’n’roll, and is undeniably the best fun families can have together.

"This tour is one of those rare opportunities for kids and adults to enjoy a fantastic gig together, because this is a show created especially for them.

"But we want you to dump your dancing shoes and pull on your wildest, weirdest, wackiest odd socks to ensure you come prepared to dance."

TV show "Andy and the Band" has seen high-profile guests, with Queen's Brian May appearing in his first acting role as the "Godfather of Rock".

Andy and the Odd Socks also promote the Anti-Bullying Alliance and initiated Odd Socks Day, a tribute to individuality participated in by more than seven million school children annually.
