The hit TV show saw magicians including Ali Cook, Jonathan Goodwin and Pete McCahon performing short magic tricks and stunts, and was later shortlisted for a British Comedy Award.

He later co-hosted ‘The Greatest Magic Tricks In The Universe… Ever’ on 5, which witnessed some of the world’s most famous stunts, such as David Copperfield’s vanishing Statue of Liberty illusion.

Mr Firman was soon to travel the world with Ali Cook in 2005, interviewing a host of magical stars such as Mac King and Max Maven.

Across the years, he grew his reputation as the fun and witty TV host, featuring in Channel 4’s ‘Dirty Tricks’, and BBC One’s ‘Stake Out’ and ‘Wait For It…!’ in 2009, finally culminating in ‘The Magicians’, the first magic show in 30 years to be broadcast on live TV.

Nothing has seemed to stop Mr Firman’s ability to entertain and amaze, giving Zoom performances during Covid lockdowns.

He has similarly gathered an impressive online audience of one million followers on social media and more than 175 million views, with his snappy, astounding and regularly viral videos.

His book ‘Tricks To Freak Out Your Friends’, made for the beginner, has introduced magic to homes across the country, so successful in the UK that it was also released in the US.

Mr Firman’s unique combination of magic and comedy has taken him all over the world, including 10 consecutive years at the Edinburgh Fringe, and ‘TrikTok’ will likely be just as astonishing and entertaining.

“What a treat to be heading out on the road again with TrikTok,” Mr Firman said.

“I’ve been busy working on new tricks and new jokes, so prepare gobs for smacking and ribs for tickling.”

The showman has previously performed at Didcot in 2022.
