Gifted students from a performing arts centre in Oxfordshire graced the stage in an iconic West End theatre earlier this month.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Bicester travelled to London on July 2 for the performance at Shaftesbury Theatre.

The students worked tremendously hard during rehearsals in what made for a spectacular event.

They performed a variety of renditions of world-famous songs from musicals, films and television shows, and artists, from the likes of ABBA, Pink Floyd, Chicago, Pharrell Williams, The Wizard of Oz, and Kate Bush among many others.

Stagecoach Bicester principal, Emma Clark said: "I am so proud of all of our students who worked so hard in the run-up to the event.

“Their focus, determination and professionalism came to fruition with an outstanding performance!”

A parent of one of the students who performed added: “Watching the show was truly magical, I was captivated by the highs and lows of the dream world.

“It was a fantastic piece, performed by amazing students. They should all be proud”.

On the night, families and friends were also able to enjoy a plethora of performances from other Stagecoach groups from across the country.

Stagecoach Performing Arts has a network of over 55,000 students and more than 3,000 extra-curricular performing arts schools worldwide.

The organisation is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year.

Classes are available for children aged four to 18 years of age.
