A police community support officer was punched during a confrontation with a lout on a quad bike at the weekend.
The unnamed male PCSO was injured after he and a colleague tried to speak to the teenage biker in Knights Road, Blackbird Leys, on Saturday.
An eyewitness said the teenager became agitated when he was stopped by the PCSOs, who were on push bikes, at about 11am.
The onlooker said: "He was revving his bike at regular intervals and telling them to leave him alone.
"It was becoming apparent they were in danger. Basically, he was bullying them to try and get away.
"One of them dropped their bike because it was being pushed back by the quad bike.
"The PCSO then put his arm on the fellow's arm to try to calm him down.
"In the end, he revved the bike so much he got past them and got out via Kestrel Crescent."
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "The two PCSOs stopped to speak to a man on a quad bike.
"As they spoke to him, he became aggressive. As he made off, he punched one of the PCSOs on the arm, causing reddening of the skin."
The spokesman confirmed no one had been arrested in connection with the incident.
